1. Home Office 9th July
Stakeholder Advisory Group on Domestic Violence - Its purpose is to act as a consultative body to the Government on the development of policy and practice on domestic violence in relation to policing and prosecution, support services, health issues, prevention, awareness-raising and development and the National Delivery Plan. Group is chaired by Vernon Coaker MP, the Home Office Minister.
2. CPS Violence against women: 10th July
The Crown Prosecution Service is developing a Violence against Women strategy. Broken Rainbow is serving on its external consultation group which will advise on the content of the strategy.
3. Skills for Justice: 11th July
Broken Rainbow is a member of the Working Group on developing National Occupational Standards for tackling sexual abuse and domestic violence.
4. Women’s Aid National Conference 17th July
Melvin Hartley and Rita Hirani are running a workshop at the conference on the experiences of domestic abuse for Lesbian, bisexual and transgenered women.
5. Interviews for Helpline Co-ordinator and Training and Marketing Consultant 24th and 25th July
We will be interviewing for the above posts.
